Twardowski Kazimierz

(October 20, 1866, Vienna – February 11, 1938, Lviv)
Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Rector of the Lviv University, founder of the first Polish philosophical society in Lviv, creator of the Lviv-Warsaw School.
Studied philosophy, history, mathematics, and physics at the University of Vienna and in 1891 earned a doctorate in philosophy.
From 1895, he was a professor at the Lviv University, teaching philosophy, logic, and psychology. He devotedly engaged in scientific, teaching, and organizational activities.
Official promoter of Stefan Banach's doctoral dissertation in mathematics at the University of Lviv.
