Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Mathematical and Functional Analysis at the Franko Lviv National University.
He studied at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lviv University, where he entered graduate school. From 1974 to 1987, he was a research fellow at the Institute of Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. From 1987, he worked as an associate professor (1987–1997) and later as a professor at the Department of Mathematical and Functional Analysis.

Burial place: Lviv, Holosko Cemetery
